This morning was one of the prettiest mornings EVER in the 9 years we’ve lived in Charlotte…a crisp, sunny, 60 degrees…gorgeous! Aston woke up in the best mood…Stell woke up chatty as always…and we all enjoyed breakfast , coffee and family banter out on the deck.
These 2 giggled and lounged as we procrastinated getting ready for school orientation:
Jeff took this “gorgeous day” opportunity to put Aston’s seat in his car so they could drive to School with the top down…Aston was of course THRILLED. Stell and I jealously opened our sunroof and off we went:)
We arrived at Sharon Pres with HIGH expectations and amazingly it FAR exceeded them…when does that ever happen? We dropped Aston off at his classroom, met Miss Sallie and Miss Patti, saw best buds Kate, Mia and Griffin and then the parents were all summoned to the chapel where Miss Beth (School Director) presented us with what to expect for the year. I was totally floored with the kinds of stuff she offered up…They are going to have things like a company (Whoopsie Daisy Productions) come in frequently during the year to take photos of all the kids and make a DVD for each student to take home at the end of the year…goodness…fun fun! The teachers seem so great…energetic…sincere…just all around on top of it. I think the best thing about Sharon Pres is that it feels soooo warm, homey and comfortable. You just get the coziest feeling as soon as you enter the campus. Can you tell I am overjoyed? Brooke, Anne, Kath and I already shared our excitement with each other via email…weird Mom stuff I guess.
As we walked back to pick up the kiddos from the classroom…this was the scene…they spotted us walking back and hung out the window to greet us…that’s Mia in the background:)
