Last weekend Gram AND Chuck came to visit! They came in on Thursday night, we had homemade wood oven pizza at BB and Babs, they stayed over for a night and on Friday morning we left for Asheville. Gram and Chuck drove up in BB and Babs car because we no longer have room for any more bodies since Mei joined the family.
Thursday night Gram and Chuck helped us convince Aston that it was cool to wear butterfly band aids on our face:) Chuck did the honors on place the first band aid on his boo boo…we thought it would be best for the surgeon in the family to do the dirty work:) Thanks Chuck!
Chuck placed the first one on Gram’s face. The band aid location was an attempt by Chuck to keep her mouth closed:) Aston went to bed with his on and woke up the next morning asking if Gram still had hers on;) Oh and ‘A’ man kept telling Gram her necklace is “pretty!” so she let him try it on.
Gram gave Miss Stelly this super cute pink outfit with horses on it. It’s her not so subtle way of saying she hopes Stell takes to horses the way she did/does.
The Grandparents took care of the kids all day Saturday while Jeff and I schmoozed with Tiger. From all reports they did very well minus the fact that Stelly wouldn’t take her bottle (she’s decided that she’s done with the bottle thing…we are currently working to fix that GIANT problem). They went to the Asheville Farmer’s Market and came home with bunches of treats, they went to the Walnut Cove Wellness Center and walked some of the trails and they went back into Asheville for dinner at Rezaz…an excellent Mediterranean restaurant near the gates of the Biltmore.
We were so lucky to have these 4 Grands travel with us to the Mountains and oooh and ahhh over the kiddos…something Jeff and I can’t get enough of and of course Aston and Stellyn eat it up too.
some night/moon photos on our patio…
Aston holding Mei (in Daddy’s hiking boots…he continues to put anyone and everyone's shoes on) and that’s me tending to Aston’s boo boo (he’s so good about it…always lets us clean it and massage in his Bacitracin) BTW…Chuck put my mind to ease. He told me he thought it was healing very well and doing just what it was supposed to do.
Team girls…at Chorizo’s in downtown Asheville (we had the BEST breakfast here)
Aston taking advantage of Babs and Chuck…so he could JUMP up the stairs rather than walk
Stell hanging out with BB and sleepy Mom and Dad (she slept very little the whole trip)
We came back Sunday night and Gram and Chuck enjoyed one last night in Charlotte before flying back to Vermont. We grilled turkey burgers and made some ravioli (we went freezer digging to create this eclectic din din).
Chuck gave Aston a peanut shelling lesson…this lasted for like 30 minutes…never seen ‘A’ with such an attention span
Gram had Stelly duty for much of the night…
Thanks for coming Gram and Chuck we miss you!!!! Come back soon!
