and then at 11am we headed over to Providence Country Club (yes we live here at PCC just don't belong to the club but the Nguyens just joined! so YIPPY!) to meet up with the rest of Dao's clan, Jacob and Thang for a festive brunch extravaganza! Here's how it went down...
There was an Easter bunny of course and Aston was best buds immediately...
and so was Jacob...
Stell kept her distance unless he offered his candy basket to her as a peace offering...then of course she obliged...more than once...
When the Easter Bunny was not around...stell was looking for him (and his basket)...she would shrug her shoulders and ask total strangers "Easter Bunny is?" "Dat way?"
the kids caught wind that the eggs had already been placed out back for the hunt...so they got as close as possible to plan their attack...
Meimi stole one or two pink eggs before the official egg-hunt start but it would have caused a bigger scene to take it away from her so Jeff let her be
there was this cool balloon lady...i loved the way stell just sat like a big girl and awaited her balloon...
Totally bad photo but want you to know that stell jumped the gun and was out of the gates first (that particular photo not shown because I didn't have time to get my camera out)...i mean look at her here! she was full stride the whole time...
only pink and purple at first...
her brother's strategy: open the eggs dump the goods in the basket and toss the eggs...great idea but stell's yield was still higher in the end
"com'on daddy there's one i missed!"
once she made sure there weren't anymore eggs to be had...she cracked one open...
and another...
then inside to see the magician! notice how she's like the last off the lawn?!...strutting...

course mei had to leave the show to get an intermission snack...

We are having an egg hunt here for Easter as well...Noah and Luke still love it...even though they are 11 and 13 years old...of course they enjoy the cash that is stashed in the eggs along with the jelly beans!

oh what a fun story!! so many to love. in LOVE with the last/her glasses/the pink. love stell's dress by the way. love the few of her and daddy. she was so on a mission/into it! guess she was over the egghunt thing by the time she got to the willettes or maybe just weren't visible enough for her :( also like the closeup featuring her eyelashes. funny how aston opened them up! fun colors and love the dat way!

stellyn cracks me up. your kids are too cute and fun. love the shots of her up close, putting candies in her mouth, with fingers at her lips. great shots. and you must have mad focusing skills because you always get the action shots. love the perspectives of aston holding his basket full of eggs. looks like such a wonderful time and a beautiful day. hilarious that both aston and stellyn had egg hunting strategies and that stellyn, the 1-year-old, came out with more.
