This beautiful luncheon in honor of Wook (Jennifer:)) was hosted and organized by Joyce Johnson (Lance's one and only amazing Mom). It was held at Fiamma, an Italian restaurant off of Park Road. I cannot believe we have not set foot in there in all our years in Charlotte. The food was perfect. I'm actually craving the bolognese I had as we speak.
The host was on top of everything. She started by going around the table and giving an adjective for each of the invitees and telling us why she chose that word to describe that person...in addition she introduced each of us telling the table where each of us is from and how long we have been in her life. The crowd consisted of mostly Joyce's closest friends. To me, getting to know her crew not only told me a lot about who Joyce is as a person/Mom/Mother-in-Law to be, but was absolutely awe-inspiring...in the way that I can only hope to be surrounded by a group of fun ladies who have been with me since my children were very small...
Joyce's words brought many to tears...Wook was no exception...

SOO this has me in COMPLETE tears. so reminds me of small town spartanburg bridesmaid luncheon and frankly, projecting forward for us when stelly and kate kate (and our other little girlies) are tying the knot. love this so much. aw wookie tearing up is just too much.
