A Reception for Pat McCrory Hosted by Jeff and Betty

On Friday BB and Babs hosted a very impressive fundraising party with clients, friends and family for Republican nominee for Governor of North Carolina, Pat McCrory. The kids were invited so of course Jeff and I were on edge all night. They held up better than expected and everyone including the adults behaved exceptionally well:)

  

I had to put this whole sequence in...it kills me so...Aston was eyeing the cake for several minutes before he ran over and tugged Mr. McCrory's coat tails saying "Mayor Pat! Mayor Pat! You have to cut the cake! It looks yummy! and you get the 1st piece!"...so then they scurried over to cut the cake shown here:



"You get the first piece Mayor Pat!"



These 2 were at the bar ALL night...tickled me the way they kept ordering them up!



Pat with Betty and the Johnson & Wales crew who helped Betty put this amazing party together...



By this time it was 10:30 and loopy was an understatement



Here was Big Jeff's touching introduction and Pat's speech to the party guests...
