On Tuesday, 7.7.09, we celebrated BB’s birthday at the Palm. We were lucky to have Tai Puo join us too. Tai Puo is BB’s mom who live in California. To Jeff and I she is Puo Puo but to our kids you add the Tai to mean great grandmother. We had a wonderful dinner as always. The last time we were at the Palm I delivered Stelly a few hours after our meal. The server we had that night remembered us right away and we told her the story. Aston did very well especially after we gave him Stanley the steam engine, one of Thomas’s friends. The peanut butter cake that Baba brought was delish. We gave BB a massive, scary meat cleaver for her birthday but it’s bad luck to give knives so she will need to give us 1$ so it’s like she paid us for it.

we do the knives and the $1 thing as well!
Giving a knife symbolizes severing a relationship with the recipient so it's bad luck to give it as a gift but okay, symbolically, if the person "buys" the knife then all is well.
BB.
interesting about the knives (thank BB for the explaination!)love the little rounded edge thing. BB's mom is yet another beautiful, fit and young great grandparent of aston's!!!
