Emily & Casey

On August 14th, 2010, Jeff and I attended the union of my cousin Emily, my Mom's Brother Bruce's oldest daughter, to her long time beau Casey Hatten. It was the evening after our super duper Simon Pearce experience. We travelled back to the resort, went for a run through town, showered and got semi-dolled up before walking to the ceremony at a cute church not a quarter mile away from the Woodstock Resort. The ceremony was beautiful, the weather was beautiful and the Bride looked s.t.u.p.e.n.d.o.u.s.l.y beautiful...

check out the video of the entire night...it speaks for itself...(note: you will need to settle in with some popcorn and raisinettes for this one...it's a whopping 22+ minutes of fun...of course NO need to watch it in it's entirety)

Here are my favorite stills mostly for emotional reasons:

Notice Jeff's outfit? Or lack there of? Let's rewind 24 hours to the day we arrived in Boston to explain. We were almost to the security checkpoint in Charlotte when I looked at Jeff and he appeared to be light on the luggage. It was then when I realized he had left his garment bag with his suit in it hanging on our armoire...oh snap. We thought about having his parents FedEx it to us but quickly concluded it would be most cost effective to buy a shirt and pants in Boston and just go casual. So after several hours, and several parking spots, we found some pants and a shirt for a steal (there's no other way with the Lee's) at Ralph Lauren on Newbury Street. I must say that it was a beautiful day to be strollin' down Newbury Street. We squeezed in a lunch at a cute place not far from Polo while we waited for the pants to be hemmed then we made the mistake of leaving the city at 4pm on a Friday. We found ourselves gridlocked in the downtown Boston making the trip 4.5 hours to Woodstock, VT instead of 2.5 hours...oh well...we were in no real rush. It's nice to be forced to talk to your husband once in a while:) We arrived in time for a perfect dinner in the resort and then on to Fire Stone's to meet up with the wedding party after their rehearsal dinner...it was nice to be able to meet/be reacquainted with everyone before the big day.

so glad i watched the video (while i made dinner)! very well done. love the dancing videos--had to show jack the little boy dancing to see if i could elicit some of those moves out of him. :) love where you put the slow-mo or speeding up... your video totally made me excited about our big family wedding this weekend--just what i needed because i was starting to feel a little stressed about all 4 of us being in the wedding and the coordination involved with that. thanks for reminding me of what a wonderful celebration it is! congrats to emily and casey--such a beautiful couple.
btw, so cool how the blue dresses and green shoes pop in those otherwise muted pictures.
