Once you become a blue belt in Taekwondo you are required to test before progressing further. The little ones are required to progress through 2 blue belts before moving on. I guess the thought is that it takes them longer to grasp proper technique. Aston had his first testing on Wednesday. I melted as I watched. He was poised, attentive, focused and assertive. Needless to say he will be getting his second blue belt tomorrow at graduation. I was so very proud of his whole demeanor during this process. The test was mostly in a group setting so they were watched by their piers which I thought was smart and less scary for these little 3-6 year olds. Here's some iPhoto footage:

OMG, it's been a couple of months since I watched Asty at TKD and he would look around and seem as if he's not paying attention at times, but WOW, what a difference a few weeks make. He was amazing in his performance. Yeah! Great Job, Asty.
