Special Times...Brought to you by Nana

Nana really did provide all her family and close friends with a chance to be together last week. I didn't have to bring the kids to VT with me...I wanted to. BB had graciously offered to keep them in Charlotte so I could travel by myself but I thought this was a perfect opportunity for the kids to get to know their Vermont roots and hang with their Gram. It really was a heartfelt trip for all of us.

They loved eating at the bar in Gram's kitchen...we get edamame at Costco too but for some reason they taste better in Vermont...

On Thursdays Gram volunteers at the library in the school I attended for 1st-8th grade. She loves to watch all the kids come and go and witness to the little Thursday morning story hour they have. I was so excited to be there on a Thursday so we could join story hour...

btw...not one thing has changed about this school since I attended...except they now have a computer room...so nostalgic to walk through...seemed so miniature

Story time was cancelled:( The librarian had laryngitis...bummed but they loved getting into the books...

Randomly Gram's good friend Barb was driving by, saw our car and came in to see us...Aston snapped this shot:)

The biggest and most exciting stop was to visit with GG Paul and GG Sybil.... I was blown away when Grampa was up walking around and chatting without an oxygen tank. He had quadruple bypass in October...an amazing recovery in my opinion...and to top it off he's been cleared to drive!

We picked up bagel sandwiches and brought them to their house in Wake Robin.

Grammy had so many old timey games for the kids we could have stayed at Wake Robin for a week...

This doll was GG Syibl's Grandmother's! Mei was fascinated by it to say the least.

Here's a little video of One Potato Two Potato. GG Sybil taught Aston how to play and he was instantly addicted:

Thanks to GG Paul and GG Sybil for having us! It was a really special visit for me and the kids.

And a VERY special thanks to Gram and Chuck for hosting the lot of us for 4 long days:) More to come! Can't forget Beau!

Loved to see the 4 generations with GG Sybil and GG Paul for a change. What precious pictures and that's amazing GG Sybil still has her grandmother's doll - wow!
