Snapped a photo of our favorite Dr. Richter and Stell today at her appointment…this was after she had been poked and prodded so there was no “cheese” face for her:( BTW…I asked Dr. Richter about H1N1 and she said its so not as scary as she thought so far…less cases and the cases are mild. Both her kids have already had it. Mostly school age kids…the young ones are not getting it and neither are the adults so much. She still recommends that Aston get both flu shots and Stell get them when she turns 6 months.
Stell has turned over a new leaf…not in the good way…she has become less sweet and slightly more crotchety in her old age. She is waking up more often, demanding more attention, particular about how she is held, in need of a constantly changing environment…I realize many of these things are normal progression but the sleep thing is killing me. Parts of my body hurt that shouldn’t, I’m moodier, forgetful and stressed when I shouldn’t be…all because of 1.5 weeks of poopy sleep. We are only talking waking up 2-3 times a night but for some reason that is really putting me over the edge and I’m in need of a solution. The Dr. R told us she may be using that time for extra feedings because she feeds best at night (during her awake hours she fights me while feeding because of her reflux and gas issues). She suggested trying solids to see if that sits better in her belly or to cut out dairy for a week (not excited about that but at this point need to try it).
Stellyn is really interacting this month and loves to watch her brother. Aston really does try and succeeds in entertaining her. When she’s getting fussy in her swing he will go over and make funny faces and noises and she totally changes her tune. She is rolling over both ways…but still doesn’t get much tummy time:( She’s on a little bit of an afternoon nap schedule. she will do a good hour around 2pm which is kinda forced on my part because I am in need of that “me” time. All in all she is still very very sweet…she’s just demanding more of me and I shouldn’t be complaining…I should relish the moment because it will be over all too soon:(
Stell and Pop Pop! I really love this photo…he had her in stitches!
Here’s the video of that interaction…of course I missed the good stuff
We just bought this new double jogger on consignment and can’t get enough of it…They BOTH LOVE the thing and we’ve had them in there for over 2 hours several times already. Love how Stell crosses her ankles…she keeps them like this for most of the trip usually. Aston will occasionally whip a foot around the divider and kick his sis but only when he’s getting bored and there are no cars going by for him to name make and model:)
A little compare…my favorite game…This photo was taken of Aston when he was exactly the same age as Mei Mei in her photo. I have always loved this one so I restaged the scene for Stell. I wish I used more natural light this time around so they matched better…but still…can you believe how similar? I mean down to the hair pattern?:
Daddy’s little Jags…both 3 months 3 weeks old…Stelly has a different number because #18 was arrested and kicked off the team…great role model for Aston:)
Daddy and Stelly…
…Stelly and Mommy
and yes Mei is still a major Bumbo addict…
Here are a few “remember-when” photos (I do these mostly because I feel bad I didn’t have the blog going when Aston was this little):
Remember when Aston was 3.5 months and we went to Salsaritas with playgroup?…
Remember when Aston turned 4 months and he no longer was allowed to sleep with us? This was his last night in our room:( Tweets is gonna stay longer…I can’t let go of her just yet…

Holly and I had a terrific time with Stelly and Aston on our Sept 15th and 16th visit. A highlight was the family run for 2.5 miles. ...the kids in the dbl stroller and Kate, Jeff and I. Just Holly had to stay home.
Then Babs and I managed to keep Asty's bone-chilling scream to one by instinctively racing to finish our otherwise delightful meal at a very good local Indian restaurant and heading outside so Asty could see the 4-wheeled sites.
such cute pics and omg the resemblance between her and aston are unbelievable. love those comparisons. so sorry about the sleep. hope it gets better soon!
Here I am again reading Stelly's 4 month post. Can you tell I'm trying to find stuff to do (other than housework?). Interesting how much you say they BOTH liked the double jogger. Last time we tried it, Eve refused. But maybe time to try again? Eve is definitely chunkier than Stelly at this point, although I have no stats, just cheeks to prove it. This is sad. I really wish I had Kate's "stuff." Might have to ask the doctor to pull out her chart from 4 mos.
