My Favorites...

Like I said in the previous post, Aston brought the green "My Favorites" bag home on Wednesday. So yesterday we diligently put together the contents for him to share with the class today. I ordered a family photo yesterday but Target didn't print it fast enough so we were stuck with the below one taken by our good friend Penny at her daughter Heidi's birthday party in July:)

Bag Contents:

  • 2 favorite photos: 1 of the family and 1 other. The "other" we chose was the silly face photo taken by Mama Anne like 5 months ago outside Salsaritas. It was the first photo to show all kiddos in one setting...Baby Eve, Kate Kate, Mia, Stell and Aston.
  • 1 Favorite Book: Aston chose the Cars book. It's Poingo enabled and although Aunt Chrissy got it for him years ago, he's just now started to understand that the Pen reads the book for you. It's fun to watch him flip through the whole book and operate the Poingo Pen properly now. The best part is he reads these books in the morning when he gets up...gives us another 30 mins in bed:)
  • 1 Favorite Stuffed Animal: of course we brought Puppy. BTW...here's a little Puppy history....just to document. Puppy was a gift to Aston when he was born given to him by my Uncle John (Pop's brother) and Aunt Lex. Puppy is from The Black Dog restaurant on the Martha's Vineyard where they live. Aston was surrounded by MILLIONS of luvies since the day he was born and this is the only one he would keep in his bed. He wanted nothing to do with the others...since he was about 8 months old Puppy has been an obsession. Mei now has the same one in pink and is the exact same way...she will not part with it...even at the dinner table. The one in this photo is for show only...I take it out for special occasions. He has 5 total and I need more. 2 are almost trash material...but I would never dare throw them away of course. I am scared for the day we loose one. They have been out of stock for weeks on The Black Dog site and I'm nervous they have discontinued them!

So anyways...Aston said everyone loved the book and the pictures and he was proud to show off Puppy...he didn't go into big detail...that's as much as I could pull out of him. He got a timeout today at school for "handling" other kids and throwing sand so he wasn't much interested in talking about his day today.

ps...stell cried almost the whole time today at school. It's tough because they go outside right away and Aston's class is outside then too so as soon as she see's her brother she gets super duper upset:(

this outside thing at the same time is an issue, huh? wish they could coordinate differently for the lee kids.
love the fam photo + dora! gotta get one of those books stat. i love how your kids love these lovies. man, i wish the willettes were attached to something. kate was so excited about aston and his green bag when she got in the car after school. she told me everything he had in it. i think our bud did a great job at his show and tell (man wish we could've seen it!)
