Riverbend Farms 2010

This year was the 2nd year we headed to Riverbend Farms for some fall fun with Sharon Presbyterian School. This year it was a little toasty at 80+ degrees but I think the pumpkin selection was spectacular this time around. Babs came with us as a helping hand (BB was taking her blogging class put out by the Charlotte Observer). The Karakus family and the Bradley family met us there and then we saw a couple other friends from the 3 year old class like Avery and Suzie. It was a special bonus that the Nguyen's joined us too!

Here's the day in photos...

Pumpkin snuggies

Silly shot but I didn't want to forget to mention that this rascal ran inside the Riverbend Store and stole this tootsie pop. I was mortified. I walked him straight back in the store and told him to tell the cashier what he had done, apologize and hand her money. In hind sight I should have made him throw it away but I let him finish it...wasn't thinking straight I was too embarrassed.

Avery, Aston, Mia (see Mia's hands on the shoulder of the other 2?)...love this one...feel like they have a very close class at SPWS

Asty getting down to Jacob's level to see the turkey...for some reason he keeps treating Jacob as a baby and he's only a few months younger!

No cool slide shots this year...I was too hot and bothered to get up inside the slide...but I must note that Aston and Mia ran the 200 yards from where we were eating lunch, across the pond to where the slide is and rushed in the silo door and within seconds came dashing down the slide! There was no fear or apprehension like last year...they must have remembered it all from last year? Guess you had to be there but it really was shocking...

Once Stell got ahold of her ice cream cone she was in the zone...couldn't be happier

It's great that you are already having traditions. Riverbends looks like a great farm to go to every year! Funny story about Aston with the tootsie pop...

Love this great Fall outdoor photos at Riverbend Farm...Stellyn's native American shirt is perfect for this event..The slide photos are great..fun to remember last year's picture of Aston IN the slide! Love the the animal statues for the children to play on...sorry you had to endure the Tootsie pop shoplifting...I better be prepared for when I visit! love, Gram

love that farm - we went too and it was h.o.t. and couldn't bear to go all out with the picture taking because it was just so darn uncomfy out there. it's amazing the difference between last year to this year. could stell's piggy's/tunic/poncho top be any cuter? NO! looks like it was a great trip once again!

you really got so many great moments. i'd say this post is full of emotionally perfect (great quality too of course) ones you know? like MJ kissing his girl and avery and asty hugging and asty getting caught with the lolli and asty and mia handholding and mama kath with asty and asty being big bro to jacob...so cute.
It was funny when I saw the three (with Zoe) for a sec I thought it was Kate! Ha! Great account of it all.

Great pictures Kate...I could feel the warmth of the day again just looking at these. My two favorites were the shot of Mia and Aston holding hands - need a copy of this one, love it in b/w and the one of Stell & Jeff, b/w to the right of the photo - beautiful!

great shots kate! favs are of stelly in the pumpkin field, jeff kissing stelly with just plain sky background. it is funny to see aston with jakey, you're right though he does seem to think jakey is a baby. hahaha like you said 3 and 3 1/2 seems so different.

so many great daddy and stellyn shots--the hand holding, on his shoulders, the slides. oh, and you really can't top your slide shots from up top that you took last year. the silhouette shots are a.w.e.s.o.m.e. so no need to trudge up there this year. love the ones at the bottom with the wide angle anyways (is that the lens you're still using?) love the close up of aston with the small pumpkin. looks like such a fun day. it was fun to see all of the families from dao's perspective, too.
