Halloween 2010

Halloween week started off with "Trunk 'r' Treat" at school. Trunk 'r' Treat is when volunteer Moms (or Dads) back their cars up in a line, open their decorated (or not) trunks and hand out candy to all the kids in the school that walk by. I volunteered to be one of the trunks and Kathryn and Anne so graciously helped hand out candy...the three of us had a good ol' time of it!

Anne snapped these photos of the event:

Us in our silly hats...how d.u.m.b do i look? ha! This is what we wore handing out candy...

Next up: The day before Halloween we were invited to a Halloween party at the Brown's house. I am so bummed I didn't bring the camera. We went straight to the party from our trip to Asheville so we were more than ill equipped. Jeff and I didn't have a costome and the kids had partial costumes...but this party was the BOMB! Way to go Brooke...thanks for inviting the deadbeat Lee family!

On Halloween we hung out at the Willette household with some other friends...the party was brilliantly set up in the garage. The weather could not have better better so the kids played outside and the adults enjoyed some "Witch's Brew" and beers before we scarfed down some pizza and hit the streets for treats.

Pre-Game shots:

So obviously Aston was a race car driver again this year per his insistence (then later wanted to be a fireman and then Buzz Lightyear...but it was too late...we had already committed). We tried to spruce things up somewhat this year and added a Pip and Bean super hero cape from Etsy. Stell was Kai Lan, the main character from the Nickelodeon show Ni Hao, Kai Lan...a Chinese speaking little girl who enjoys adventures with her fiends while introducing kids to Chinese. This is one of the few shows she loves and by loves I mean she will sit and watch it for 2-4 minutes instead of 20 seconds. Her bows and shirt are from Etsy too.

BB and Babs came over to watch the game and then helped with costume assembly

just have to say first, i love how yours and anne's blogs make me reminisce about the toddler years. loved hearing about stellyn's epiphany while trick-or-treating about what was going on and then getting in to the candy as you guys were still out--jack did this when he was 15 months old, gnawing through the wrappers to get to the candy bars (something he'd never had at that point).
again, great 'do on stellyn--i seriously need to watch a demo on how this is done. as always, love how you include so many shots. it really tells the story of how busy stellyn is. love the close ups of her.
and love the dramatic action shots of aston (btw, loved his video and can't wait to see more trailers :) ). made me smile to see aston being such a ladies' man, leading "belle" in to the party.
p.s. great hats, ladies! love aston's face in the picture of the kids lined up at school--he looks surprised to see you all in your hats. :)

Love the hats; I meant to tell you at trunk-or-treat, but I got side-tracked. :) LOVE the pic of A walking Zoe in; what a gentleman! Have to agree with Anne; felt like I really didn't get to enjoy all the doings while in the midst of everything. Love all the action shots of "Kai-lan"!! I kind of feel like Stell is Kai-lan in real person form, ya know?! So much fun...!!
