Jeff and I tried to sign up for the Turkey Trot in 2009 but we were too late and they sold out! So for 2010 I was secretly hoping they would sell out before I could sign up...but Jeff took it upon himself to register me behind my back! I haven't been running besides doing power hours here and there plus I have been fighting a cough since October 1st so I was down on the idea this year. Mehmet and Kathryn were doing it and so were Shannon and Ryan so we had a good crowd to run with. Shannon, Kathryn, Ryan's sister and I socially jogged the 8k race while Jeff
tried to keep up with Ryan and Babs pushed the kids for a 5k walk. The rain was ick and it was chilly billy but I don't think any of us regretted getting some exercise and fresh air before turkey eating...especially BB's turkey eating!
Babs had the added pressure of finishing his race in 45 minutes so the kiddos could run in the Turkey Tot Trot. He got back just in the nick of time! We ripped Mei from the stroller and she ran a mad 26.2 yard dash (2 year olds and under)...her first ever race! She fell down half way through so Jeff was there to pick her up...from there on she wanted to hold his hands:)

Next up...4 and under...see Aston(in black) straddling the line in an all out sprint? Mia was way on the other side...can't see her in the crowd...

that is a great way to spend thanksgiving morning. what time were you guys done? didn't realize it was an 8k--go you guys, awesome! love that they have all of the sprints for different age groups. aston's post-race comment cracked me up. once again the wide angle rocks--love the whole race field pictured in aston's race.
