Valentine's Day at Playschool
This week I was in charge of Valentine's Day at Playschool. Kathryn and Anne graciously switched party days with me because the original function I chose was the End of Year Party...and clearly that would have been a difficult time with a very new born in tow.
Kathryn came with and helped throughout. We got there early and set up while the babes were out on stroller rides. When they returned Aston was in the front of the first quad stroller and saw me right away. The reaction was priceless...jumping up and down in his seat with the biggest smile yelling "Mama!". That made the day really. Kate, Mia and Aston all sported their Valentine's T's that Kathryn got for them...too cute.
The night before I made baby bran muffin cup cakes dressed in 50% less sugar frosting topped with pink sprinkles. I tried to be a little sneaky and go a bit healthier than the norm. They didn't seem to mind in the least...some even had seconds...including you know who. Also snagged some Vday mailboxes from Target in red, pink and white, decorated them with each classmate's name and stickers and filled them with baby seeded flower pots, playdough and cookies. The idea was that the kids could put their Vday cards in them but they failed to fit after all the other goodies. What a GREAT first classroom assistance role...fun times!...cheers to many many many many many more:)
