The funny part is I know I am ridiculous...yet I CANNOT stop myself by any means. I have lost all self control but I have made myself believe I am gaining TOTAL control by cleaning every corner of our house and finishing long outstanding projects…its humorous to me that I am able to step back and realize this, yet not at all have power over it. I have organized the pantry 2x since the inception of my nesting phase (about 4 weeks ago). I have cleaned out our closet, Aston's closet, the refrigerator, the freezer, the office (sort of), the other pantry, the bonus room, and the guest bedroom before turning it into the baby’s room, among others. This is all in good reward but Jeff and I do get into some interesting/heated conversations because of the tension my behavior is causing. Not to mention the sleep/rest that I am NOT getting because I stay up until 1am and the time I am NOT spending my daytime hours with Addie because I am pre-occupied with refolding laundry.
Nesting is NO JOKE…it is FO’ REAL…the reason is know this is because I am far, far and away from this character normally. Like yesterday, I folded and refolded new baby’s sleepwear. Never have I ever refolded anything let alone PJs. I can’t stand to have an unkempt kitchen…I have to clean every dish even before Aston and Jeff are finished eating…BN (Before Nesting)…I could leave a cup in the sink for days. BN I could leave crusties around Aston’s place at the table… BN I could leave toys on the floor… BN I could leave crumbs under the table…I was sooo a “whatever it won’t kill you” Mom…that has ALL changed! None of these things fly right now. I wonder now if any of this will stick PN (Post Nesting)? I am secretly kind of hoping a tamer version of it will.
For Aston, I didn't have his room done until he was 6 months old, maybe? Thanks to my Baby 2 nesting “disorder” we have a fully-functioning baby room for baby 2. Here are some photos:

the nursery looks GREAT! i love the colors and i love the lighting you created around the chaise. i wish i had done a chaise in jacob's room because there's nights where i really need it. i wish i had the nesting issue right now. :-) my house would definitely be more organized. i lost the nesting after i gave birth unfortunately.
i really do LOVE the room!!
room looks fabulous! well done! i hear ya on the nesting thing - it's no joke - mine still hasn't gone away completely and the kid's almost 2! :)
CUTEST baby room, Kate! Love the chaise....SO smart!
