Evelyn Anne Willette ("Eve") was born on Friday, 3.5.2010 at 8:51am. She weighed in at 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. She was born with Anne's gorgeous red hair. Anne and Bruce dropped off Kate with the Karakus's shortly after Anne's water Broke at 2 am Friday morning. Labor apparently went very smoothly and by the time Kathryn and I got there at 11ish Anne was up and walking around like nothing ever happened...geez.
Aston waited many weeks for the arrival of baby Bean (the Willette's called her "Bean" in utero because they too waited to find out the sex:) He'd been dying to give Kate Kate the gift he got for her to celebrate her new baby sister/brother. He finally got his chance when we met Kate and Mama Kathryn at Kate's house before we went to the hospital (Anne had Kathryn bring Kate home to get her dressed in her BIG SISTER t-shirt, jeans and a matching bow:)). Kate's "Big Sister" gift from Aston was a firetruck he insisted she had to have. I think Kate was sincerely appreciative:)
From there, Kate and Kathryn followed us to BB's house where I dropped off Mei and Aston (Aston was thrilled because he got to make Gram's Snicker Doodle recipe with BB). I then hopped in the car with Mama Kathryn and Kate headed to the hospital. Anne instructed Kathryn not to tell Kate any "Bean" details as she wanted it all to be a surprise. Kate kept saying she was going to the hospital to meet baby Bean...so she obviously had an idea but she kept calling Bean a "he" so at least she was in the dark about the girl part:)
This was the scene when Bruce came out to get Kate so she could meet her baby sister for the first time...priceless!
I love this photo. It brings me back to the day Stellyn was born and we all huddled around her just as we did with Eve. I now understand the sheer exhilaration these 2 girls felt when I delivered Stell. So very special. Congratulations Anne. Your family of 4 is absolutely perfect.

aww i love this post. thanks for putting it together and again, soo many many many thanks...i mean start a biz of taking pics in maternity ward. it would take off for sure. so glad you captured aston/kate giveaway. one thing i didn't write about :( but glad you did. so special.
ps i just love the color of these. need to discuss. p.s.s love how you have bean and mrs. kath and then bean and mama kate. we will reflect on these for so many years to come !
